Bridge the GAAP is a blog and podcast that presents conversational discussion about topics in accounting and auditing in an attempt to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
The content presented on this blog is meant to inform and entertain. Accounting is a broad profession that covers a multitude of disciplines and topics. Part of the aim of Bridge the GAAP is to show that many of the concepts that are fundamental to accounting and auditing can be described using plain English, despite the fact that accounting has a language entirely its own.
Bridge the GAAP is created and maintained by Rob Valdez, who works in public accounting in South Florida, and who is always interested in connecting with people who are involved in or interested in the accounting profession.
